Mount Vernon Statement of Statesmanship

...He has been pleased to favor the American people…
...his divine blessing ... and the wise measures
on which the success
of this government must depend.
~ George Washington

Freedom prospers when religion
is vibrant and the
rule of law under God
is acknowledged.
~ Ronald Reagan

The Mount Vernon Statement of Statesmanship with GW was created on George Washington Birthday of 22 February, plus 2 days, because on 23 February, Warner Todd Huston of Andrew Breitbart's blog BigGovernment.com wrote an article suggesting revisions to enlarge and empower the SPIRIT of the Mount Vernon Statement.

Given that initiative, it seemed most fitting that "The Spirit of George Washington" who was present at the Collingwood Library and Museum on Americanism in Mount Vernon on 17 February anno domini 2010, as George Washington supervised the signing of "this Constitution for the United States of America" on 17 September in the Year of Our Lord 1787, this "George Washington" "supervised" the signing of the Mount Vernon Statement by the 80-some Conservative leaders, (and prayed for each and for the organizations each represented), and then signed both as "George Washington" ~ in his spirit ~ and as seemed fitting, on the far right, signed as his current able aide, Major James Renwick Manship, Civil Air Patrol, author, editor and compiler of George Washington's legendary lessons in Civil conduct, The Rules of Civility. Part One:
The Mount Vernon Statement

Constitutional Conservatism: A Statement for the 21st Century

We recommit ourselves to the ideas of the American Founding.  Through the Constitution, the Founders created an enduring framework of limited government based on the rule of law. They sought to secure national independence, provide for economic opportunity, establish true religious liberty and maintain a flourishing society of republican self-government.

These principles define us as a country and inspire us as a people. for a prosperous, just nation unlike any other in the world. They are our highest achievements, (continues…)

Part Three:
(based on Part Two by Andrew Breitbart BigGovernment.com blogger W.T. Huston)

Yes, it’s easy to criticize. Yet criticism can be constructive, in that it is the result of one man thinking about what another man has said or done, and the mere act of thinking is often more constructive than sitting back and listening to “talking heads” criticize the doings and sayings of America’s “ruling class”. I am one man, J. R. Manship, an ‘actor’ like Ronald Reagan, with a stage name of ‘StatesManship’, or GW Live!, who signed the Mount Vernon Statement, below and between Ed Meese and Ed Feulner, who has worked for 15 years to acquire more than a passing knowledge of the Statesmanship of George Washington.

I am not a committee of 80-some well-funded conservative group leaders. These ideas I “penned” after reading the Mount Vernon Statement, and the Huston Statement, humbly offered as a basis upon which to enlarge the discussion:

The man known as the “father of His country” George Washington hosted the Mount Vernon Conference in March 1785 where the “Seed of the Tree of Liberty” was first planted, that led to the Annapolis Convention the next year in 1786 where three years before on 23 December 1783, Washington changed the world by Resigning to the Congress restoring the supremacy of the Civilian government over the Military, and then at the Philadelphia Convention begun in May 1787, the Tree of Liberty bore fine fruit.

At the opening of the Constitution Convention, George Washington was unanimously elected as President by his fellow Founding Fathers. Wisely Washington gave opening remarks that are fitting for today, and ~ for all time:

“Let us raise a standard to which the wise
and honest can repair, the event is in the
hand of God.”

God handed US the “Miracle in Philadelphia”.

We as Americans believe in GW - God’s Will - for America, and powered by faith, We rededicate our lives to His standards for US woven in the words of

“this Constitution
for the United States of America”

This Constitution creates for us a Republic, as elder statesman Benjamin Franklin related to the woman who asked him at the close of the Constitution Convention, NOT a “democracy” as straight-talking John Adams stated was equivalent to a “mobocracy”. Democracy breaks down into “demos” and “cracy” and equates to “Rabble Rule”, whereas Republic is “Res” and “Publica”, “Res” is the Object of the King (& “No king but King Jesus”) or the “Rule of Law” given to create peace for an organized Public “Publica”.

Democracy is direct vote by the people on the laws that govern us and only exists in this Constitution in THE supreme form of Citizen Authority, the JURY, in Article III, Section 2.3, as well as the 6th and 7th Amendments. All other votes, or suffrage, are part of a “Representative Republic”, where when working correctly, a relative handful of elected servants are tasked to serve the will of “We the People” so We can dedicate our lives to God, our families, and Preamble Principles that We “ordain” ~ the “Blessings of Liberty”.

In the same Year of Our Lord 1787 as the Constitution Convention, Washington wisely wrote:

“The power under the Constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can, and undoubtably will, be recalled.”

The Declaration of Independence lists many grievances against the government of the King of England, a Prince who had become a Tyrant. Today America tolerates abuse by “Ruling Princes” of government - Bureaucrats, and suffers Tyranny by federal and state Judges. Some grievances the Declaration listed then, remain a problem today:

> obstructed the Administration of Justice
> erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance
> imposing Taxes on us without our Consent
> depriving us in many cases, of
the benefits of Trial by Jury.

In its closing paragraph, the Declaration appeals to “the Supreme Judge of the world”, whereas in this Constitution Article III, Section 1, states: “in one supreme Court,” showing (or at least suggesting) the Supremacy of God in Heaven over the “little gods” of the supreme Court, and “tiny gods” of “inferior Courts” who by some of their “Opinions” have subverted Rights of We the People while ignoring the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God, so to “Reshape America” in their own mental image.

Thomas Jefferson prescribed a wise solution:

“Judges whose erroneous biases are leading us to dissolution should be removed from the bench. It may,
indeed, injure them in fame or
fortune, but it saves the Republic.”

The change America urgently needs, changes consistent with American ideals, are not executive edicts or judicial opinions that move America away from our founding principles, needed are actions that rebuild our foundation, that rebuild the respect for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that comes from peace with God in Heaven, Creator of each Life, our Nation, and also Creator of our individual Rights and Liberty.

Our first and best President, Washington wrote:
“Let it simply be asked, where is the sense for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments in courts of justice?”

Whatever may be conceded to
the influence of refined education …
reason and experience both forbid
us to expect…national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.”

To conserve this Constitution, & One Nation Under God it Created, We the People must demand our elected and appointed servants consider all actions, legislation, or judicial opinions through a strict reverence and reference to “this Constitution”. We the People must be prepared to Defend our Rights and Liberty from over-refined education “Elite” by VOTE to REMOVE or RECALL any public servant who thinks his or her thoughts are superior to the expressed will and wisdom of the People; AND We, by our VOTE in the JURY to rule invalid any Godless judicial opinions or unwise legislation in each case where it is God’s Will, Just & Right so to do:

• We apply principles of limited government to add fairness to every proposal based on the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God
in “Rule of Law”, NOT Bar members’
“Rules of Law” (for fortune of Lawyers).

• We the People honor individual liberty in American life by our statesmanship.
• We encourage free enterprise by the individual entrepreneur, and support
market based economic reforms.
• “Tyranny anywhere threatens Liberty everywhere”, so We in America will with care, and prayer, “Appeal to Heaven” to advance Liberty all around the world.
• The Preamble of this Constitution lists its first purposes to be “establish justice, insure domestic Tranquility”, and We the People permit NO government program or block grant payment to Police or Prosecutors to Subvert the Rights of the Individual Citizen by our servants in government.

Again as “father of His country”, President Washington wisely warned America:

Toward the preservation of your government…it is requisite… that you resist with care the spirit of innovation upon its principles, however specious the pretexts.

One method of assault may be to effect in forms of the Constitution, alterations which will impair the energy of the system, and thus to undermine what cannot be directly overthrown.

If We are to succeed in the critical political and policy battles ahead, We the People must be certain of our purpose in God’s Will, We must Advocate and Advance, Protect and Defend, Learn and Love our God-given Rights outlined in
this Constitution for the United States of America.

We the People must begin by retaking and resolutely defending the high ground of America’s founding principles. We must raise a standard to which the wise and honest can ROAR - Reclaim Our American Republic, our One Nation Under God.

We reaffirm the Godly Government Standards of this Constitution for the United States of America

Signed: September 17 in the Year of Our Lord 1787.
Done: February 22 (+2) in the Year of Our Lord 2010.

  1. I am American citizen and I am atheist. If a nation claims its authority from a god, as you seem to blather about, then it is not an authority that I recognize. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that, unless right-wing nut-jobs like yourself get to rewrite our history, laws and policy. If that happens, I will move to Canada. They are apparently better at hockey, anyway.

  2. I dont understand? How did you get a picture of George Washington?

  3. Dear March 1 Anonymous Atheist,

Have you considered the possibility, or probability, that my "Blather" about the authority in our Nation derived from God, given to His people, who then lend the power to their elected and appointed SERVANTS?

While you may be one of many of a small minority of Americans who are self-described Atheists, the Majority Rules, and even today in America, the majority are self-described as Christian.

    Enjoy Canada.
